Machine translation vs. human translation... Here is an old and controversial comparison. But this controversy is way too premature: we are at the baby-steps of machine/automated translation. It it is clear that machine translation carry enormous limitations. Its quality level also depends on and varies greatly with the nature of materials involved and the intended use for translation results. But when properly utilized by human professionals, the benefit of software, online machine and other translation tools improves a lot. The debate will consume much more pages, ink and time than we can afford at this time.
